In reply to the discussion: DNC boots David Hogg and another vice chair from their roles [View all]ShazzieB
(20,982 posts)97. What middle aged whiner?
Are you talking about Kenyatta, he's 34. Born in 1990, he's barely a millennial, right on the cusp between millennial and zoomer. And where's the butthurt?
Kenyatta, who has been sharply critical of Hogg and the attention focused on him, said in a statement that he was grateful to his supporters and eager to move forward.
Democrats must be bold and meet this moment, he said. This is the urgent work in front of us: to stand up to authoritarianism, to protect care and dignity, and to make life better for the people who count on us.

Note: Being critical of Hogg does not equal butthurt, imo. (Ymmv, of course.) I'm not seeing butthurt from either him or Hogg. I see Hogg graciously deciding not to run for vice chair again at this time, and Kenyatta graciously accepting the fact that he gets to stay on. The only butthurt I'm seeing is from some of Hogg's supporters.
Meanwhile, Hogg can now pour all the PAC money he wants into primarying "safe seat" Democrats. I'd rather see money going to flip red seats to blue myself, but I didn't contribute to David Hogg's PAC, so I don't get a vote on that.

That's not even close to being an unusually large salary for such a position....

If only Democrats could be so efficient in dispatching Republicans, the same way.

I don't see how a procedural removal warrants a story that reads like he was being punished.

Translation - David Hogg got canned because he had the audacity to say, "ineffective" Democratic incumbents"

It is absolutely a street fight. You don't win street fights with strongly worded letters.

If the DNC Democrats are doing all they can (HARDLY?), we are doomed as a nation!
