Four arrested after images of Trump and Epstein projected on to Windsor Castle ahead of president's visit

(The Guardian) Four people have been arrested after images of Donald Trump alongside deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein were projected on to Windsor Castle, where the US president is set to be hosted by King Charles during his state visit to Britain. Trump arrived in Britain late on Tuesday for an unprecedented second state visit, and will be greeted by Charles on Wednesday for a day of pomp at Windsor Castle, about 25 miles west of London. Earlier on Tuesday, protesters unfurled a massive banner featuring a photograph of Trump and Epstein near Windsor Castle, and later projected several images of the two on to one of the castle’s towers.

Trump Is Shutting Down the War On Cancer

(New York Times) In a matter of months, the Trump administration has canceled hundreds of millions of dollars in cancer-related research grants and contracts, arguing that they were part of politically driven D.E.I. initiatives, and suspended or delayed payments for hundreds of millions more. It is trying to sharply reduce the percentage of expenses that the government will cover for federally funded cancer-research labs. It has terminated hundreds of government employees who helped lead the country’s cancer-research system and ensured that new discoveries reached clinicians, cancer patients and the American public.

DOJ Quietly Deletes Study on Politics of Domestic Terrorists

(The New Republic) 404 Media has reported that in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s murder, Trump’s Justice Department deleted a study from its website stating that right wing violence “continues to outpace all other types of terrorism and domestic violent extremism” in the United States. This comes as the Trump administration and Republicans generally blame political violence solely on the left. The study was available online at least until Friday, according to 404 Media, but can now only be found via a Wayback Machine link.

Rebel Republican rips GOP bid to charge teens as adults -- while ignoring Epstein abusers

(Raw Story) Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), a frequent thorn in the side of President Donald Trump and his Republican colleagues on major issues, took to X on Tuesday to criticize his party's current priorities — particularly with regard to an upcoming bill that would impose stricter criminal sentencing on the government of Washington, D.C. "Tonight, Congress will vote to lower the age to prosecute minors as adults from 16 down to 14 in DC," wrote Massie. "Let me get this straight: Congress wants to prosecute 14 yr. olds as adults, but they don’t want to prosecute adults who sexually abuse 14 year olds? Release the Epstein files."

"The 57% who disapprove is the most to do so in Trump's second term," Houston added.

VA-GOV: New campaign finance numbers show a significant lead for Spanberger

(WVTF) Campaign finance numbers are revealing the shape of Virginia politics heading into this year's election for governor. The latest disclosures show Democrat Abigail Spanberger has more than twice as much cash on hand heading into the fall election season. When a racist sign appeared at an Arlington County School Board meeting, Republicans were hopeful this might be their moment to break through. Their candidate for governor, Winsome Earle-Sears, announced that the billionaire co-founder of Black Entertainment Television had donated half a million dollars to her campaign for governor. Now, the latest campaign finance numbers show Republicans are struggling.
