Alligator Alcatraz [View all]

My family moved from Michigan to Orlando in the summer of 1959. I was going into fifth grade. We didn't have air conditioning until I was a senior in high school. I can't express how ungodly the heat and humidity were in central Florida, not to mention the insects. Putting any human beings in tents in the middle of a south Florida swamp is absolutely cruel and unusual punishment. I only hope a storm like a tornado or hurricane hits there before the detainees arrive. In fact, I'll be praying for it. Homan saying he feels like a kid in a candy store running his department is such a statement of the basest inhumanity. I wish his karma falls hard and soon.
