Buttigieg not only read linguist George Lakoff's book on framing political messages(Don't Think of an Elephant) he corresponded with the author. You can see Lakoff's influence in his messaging.

I find Buttigieg unique in that he brings a level of strategic planning based on political science and research rather than consultant opinion or luck.
