Anyone go moose hunting? [View all]
The moose season for firearms starts in a couple of weeks here in Quebec. In the last 5 years I have been hunting moose in Quebec I have yet to shoot one myself. The way the law works is you need 2 tags per moose. So 2 people get together and go hunting and if one shoots, the 2 hunters have to tag the animal and you are done. I have never come home empty handed, just I haven't been the one to fire the shot. I had my son go take his course, (you can get licensed at 12 years old here, but you have to hunt with an adult hunter. He is allowed to shoot the moose though, just can't carry his own high powered rifle) so I don't need a partner this year. Every other year my partner has shot the moose, this year I hope it's different.
Anyone else go after the big boys?
