5. first, find your kindle's email address...

when you set up your kindle, you get an email address: your_name@kindle.com

Then, you just attach a file to an email and send it to that address. They charge you some modest fee, like fifteen cents per megabyte or something, and automatically translate the file and the next time you turn on your kindle's wireless, it will automatically download it.

word docs seem to generally work well. these .prc docs from peter watts worked very well. pdf files may be dicier, especially if you don't have the larger version of the kindle.
