3. Have had same experience. They really help me against those halogen (?) headlights and glare

I live in a small desert city, pretty rural and not a lot of light, but plenty of wildlife. They help cut glare from oncoming headlights, and the few streetlights here, while sharpening details so I can see coyotes, deer, antelope running across the roads. I like them, but the, I am VERY light sensitive so anything that cuts glare and dims bright lights helps me immensely at night.

I wear distance glasses when driving, and they perch comfortably over my glasses. I did put a strap on them so I can take them off in a hurry when in areas with a LOT of artificial light, such as some of our busy intersections.
