4. Avoid treatment centers in Florida

I’m sure there are a few good ones there, but it is ground zero for fraudulent rehabs that are only in it for the insurance money.

Different approaches work for different people. There are rehabs that rely mainly on 12 Step programs, others that take a holistic approach (that worked for me), some that offer Dual Diagnosis programs for patients with other mental health issues. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

I think the only way to find what you need is to research the heck out of it. Look centers up online, read reviews, then call on the phone and ask a million questions, ask for references you can directly contact. Any rehab that is legit and truly wants to help patients recover will be more than willing to answer your questions, provide references, and let you tour the facility.
