Many of the fakes are pathetically obvious, but that can lull you into thinking you can always spot the fakes. You can't. It doesn't matter who you are, or how smart you are, you're going to fall for something that you can't possibly verify but that looks soooooo convincing you can't make yourself feel skeptical about it.
