who basically just "escorted" him from room to room in the building and may have just remained outside of that room until he was done and would have "escorted" him wherever else in the building he needed to go. He was apparently there listening for a bit before he finally had enough and attempted to get his question in and that is when the officers in the room reacted (which were probably the ones who were with her).
