Now that Hog is no longer in the DNC, he can do what he wants. None the less, it seems to be a waste of time, money, and resources. It would not, by definition, increase the Democratic coalition, and it would put safe seats at some level of risk, by running candidates with less experience, less name recognition, and more extreme ideological views, which might turn off many voters.

This is a reflection of the MAGA strategy that has cost the GOP several elections. The MAGA faithful turn out for the primary, elect an extremist, then lose the general election.

As far as the DNC goes, ALL organizations and coalitions have a status quo, moribund core. That is what makes them a cohesive, ongoing organization. Like it or not.
