DU seeks volunteers to serve as Main Forum Hosts

Hello all,

If anyone is interested in serving as a Main Forum Host, please feel free to sign up. Main Forum Hosts cover General Discussion, Latest Breaking News, Video & Multimedia, The Lounge, and Editorials & Other Articles. The most important focus for Main Forum Hosts is typically the Latest Breaking News forum, which has stricter standards than most other forums on DU.

The job is pretty simple -- Hosts are empowered to lock threads which violate the Statement of Purpose for the Main Forums. Some discussion with your fellow Hosts is required first, in order to determine whether something is a violation or not, so volunteers should be able to work well as part of a team. There is a special forum where Main Forum Hosts can discuss these issues, which will be made available to you once you sign up.
