Democratic lawmakers demand extensions on expiring subsidies on Affordable Care Act health insurance plans before they will agree to reopen the government.

It implies that Democrats are the reason why the government is shut down and that Democrats alone are the ones that can reopen it.

Fuck that noise.

Republicans are in complete control of the federal government and they could reopen the government today if they wanted to. If Republicans can't agree amongst themselves on a plan to fund the government so that it can reopen and instead they need Democratic votes to bail them out, well then they should get their asses to the negotiating table and start talking with Democrats.
