especially given that the perpetrators are now requesting to be repaid for expenses.

Mysteriously, an updated total has eluded me. In 2022, the Capitol architect predicted restoration would cost taxpayers about $30 million. Believe the insurrectionists should be penalized a pro-rated share of these costs.
