What I would like to see is a squad of these gangsters confronted by a vastly superior armed force, made to disarm and be subjugated to interrogation, and show legitimate, government-issued credentials proving they have a right to kidnap anyone they want anywhere in the country. Since they will have no such dox on them, they should be forced to reveal who organized them, who sent them, and under what/whose authority? My bet is that there will be a sudden strung of denials rihht up the chain of command. “Who? Me? They don’t work for me, and I didn’t send them.” They won’t talk at first, but when they find themselves in custody on armed assault and kidnapping charges, with no white knights riding to the rescue to post bail, enough of them will crack. These are street thugs, not intelligence operatives who have received intensive training on how to withstand sophisticated interrogation.
