In reply to the discussion: HERE ARE THE DEMOCRATS WHO VOTED TO TABLE AL GREEN'S IMPEACHMENT RESOLUTION [View all]angrychair
(10,869 posts)50. I've made dozens of calls
To representatives offices trying to ask questions or get feedback and I've never heard a peep. It would be more effective for me to stand in the back yard and scream at the trees.
At this particular moment symbolism is all we have. We can do nothing else. People are tired of speeches and letters of concern. The push back at committee hearings are good as well.
While the vote may not do anything people need hope and they need to believe that Democrats in Washington are fighting this insanity through every possible avenue.

The "something" is that this was a motion to table and NOT a vote on impeachment.

They still have the job to do. They are faced with crimes. To do nothing is enabling the crimes.

To convict in the Senate. The votes aren't there, and the odds are with a republican majority in the house

Good for them! They live in the real world and understand that these types of things are a waste of time.
