My mom's dad can be seen in Pictures with Eisenhower at concentration camps post WW2. My dads maternal great grandfather (Scots Irish immigrant) was off the boat and conscripted into the CSA Army. Between 1890 and 1900 he was changed from white to Negro in the Census, because his half Cherokee daughter had the gall to marry a Black doctor.
