11. I buy the cheaper cuts of meat

And then I use a gadget to tenderize the hell out of it. Once the tough fibers are cut the steak relaxes, flattens out, and and gets longer. Then, I cut the steak into 3-4 ounce servings and freeze a couple of pieces for later in the week.

For me, chicken is cheap so I buy either a package of chicken legs or thighs. I freeze most of them and keep a couple fresh pieces for later.
