Wrongful termination?

Trump firing prosecutors and FBI investigators left and right leaves me thinking, regardless Trump's deranged motives, surely he can't just fire Federal people because he doesn't like them. I did read where US appointed attorneys serve at the President's discretion. But all the FBI agents and DOJ prosecutors were hired, I assume. They just do their jobs so they would seem to have some recourse.

Your termination could be wrongful if your employer fired you:

• Due to discrimination
• In violation of a federal or state labor law
• Because you reported and refused to participate in harassment
• Because you reported and refused to conduct an illegal act or safety violation

The so-called buy out is illegal too.

The shadow president is keen to destroy our country so he can send some people he deems marginal to Mars to be mole people.

Until and unless someone stops, him he can do whatever he wants to to do.

The media, the judiciary, Congress, and the electoral process have all failed to stop him.

He can basically do anything to retaliate. He has absolute immunity now.

If I were a career FBI agent and was told to resign or be fired, I'd wait on the discharge papers and sue. If Trump fires a lot of them, maybe they can start a class action suit.

I think it is far too late for that.

As I said, the media, the judiciary, Congress, and the electoral process have all failed to stop him. People keep reaching for remedies that are no longer there.

Where are the lawsuits? Why is it too late (referring to another poster)? Now is when it's happening, now is when to act. These firing are not only wrongful for the employee, but unconstitutional. The purpose is to end democracy.
If we allow this, who is to enforce elections? Send out SS and pension checks? They can do just anything. And its looking more and more like they will.

A journalist on 'The Weekend' said some number of the FBI terminations were working within a 'probationary' period. Even I know what that means.

He's talking of invading Greenland. Defense Sec'y Hegseth (a drunkard rapist and fuck up himself) is talking of air strikes and troop invasion of Mexico.

Believe me, they're going to fuck around and find out. And so will the idiots who voted for trump.

If they clean out the military, removing women, lgbtq + and he wants these countries they have to return to the draft. We can go back to the draft during a national emergency, he/they called a national emergency. I was going to post a paragraph from the web page that outlines the use of the draft. I swear it's different from what I posted here earlier in January. I'm probably wrong very early in the morning and only 1 cuppa. Here's the link to the web page
https://www.sss.gov/about/return-to-draft/

I'm going check for the last time I posted from this site and see if the language changed.

He's also trying to fire all FBI agents who worked on the J6 cases, even if it was for processing an arrest. It's of course an attempt to erase the history of his attempt to OVERTHROW THE US GOVERNMENT.

Today the tariffs and Mexico start, and so will their retaliatory tariffs.

I dont think he's yet to understand how tariffs work. US consumers pay them ultimately in higher prices on imported goods.

This all will not end well. FAFO.

These are Fascists. They are criminals and they break the law. They do so because they have the power to do so. The only way to stop them is to use force. If they remaining FBI had the guts, they should just arrest Elon Musk and let the chips fall where they may.

for any job that is protected by Civil Service and/or a Union Contract (CBA). All these protections should be enforced by arbitration and labor law.

Political appointees serve at the pleasure of the President and the Executive Branch. They can be replaced "at will".

I know that nearly every one of these terminations would be overturned if the normal rules and laws that I worked under as a Union Rep. for 35 years were applied. But I have retired, and I don't know how corrupted and fearful the people who decide these things are under Trump 2.0.
