But Democratic politicians will not use the authoritarian tools which Republicans are so happy to wield without compunction. Even if they did the supremacist court would bat them down without thinking twice about their hypocrisy. And all that is even assuming that the Democratic party is able to somehow defy Republican plans to make sure that they are never able to control either house of Congress or win the presidency.

TFG ignores the Constitution partially because he has no idea what's in it, nor does he care, and Republicans in Congress follow his lead. Democrats follow the Constitution and the laws of this country which have successfully maintained this Democratic Republic for 249 years.
