Tariffs and immigration policies devastating farm economies + closure of rural hospitals.

I wonder if AI owning oligarchs are pushing for this?

Thanks for the thread Yo_Mama_Been_Loggin

Coincidence or a plan? Rural areas have been emptying out since the end of WWII. Certainly some of our oiligarchs have talked about their desire to run their own fiefdoms. And some are buying up land in California, Hawaii, Montana, etc. So many things already naturally play into the hands of our oiligarchs.

think that coincidence is possible but there is an awful lot of it considering the make up of *rump's cabinet.

I agree so many things naturally play into their hands anyway but I also believe that natural isn't always enough to satisfy their driving addictions.

Well said. One of the oldest clichés is a greedy person who already has far more than their share pushing to take everything.

Blue areas have more people and more economic productivity. They support red areas that have less economic productivity and fewer people. The mechanism of this support is the government. Cut the government support and the funding gets cut. Your little county with less than 25,000 people can't afford a hospital. Look on the bright side, your little county has 153 churches to offer thoughts and prayers.
