Let's talk about Trump giving the rich means and giving the poor memes.... - Belle of the Ranch

Well, howdy there Internet people. It's Belle again. So, today we're going to talk about Trump giving the rich means and giving the poor memes.

Recently, I talked about the different things Trump gives to various economic classes, and it prompted some questions. Here's one, “Could you dive a little deeper into what you mean by Trump gives the wealthy means and gives the working class memes? My girl thought you were dropping bars with that one and that it was next level. But it just didn't hit that way with me. I feel like I'm missing something and honestly didn't want to ask her and seem dumb. All I'm getting is that he gives rich people tax breaks and poor people something to talk about.

You're not dumb. You got the concept. It just goes deeper. Trump doesn't just give the rich tax breaks. He gives them access. If you're rich enough, Trump will pick up the phone and certainly seems like he'll adjust US policy to help you make money. He might destroy national parks. He might yank funding from your competitors. He might use your company for one of his pet projects.

He also uses American foreign policy to attempt to support American business interests, blending corporate and state power in a way we haven't seen in a number of decades. For the average American, the working class, he gives them memes. promises of no tax on overtime, but it doesn't mean that you don't get taxed on the hours you work past 40 hours a week.

He gives them the promise of a cell phone that still hasn't materialized. He promises jobs even though we're at virtually no job growth. He promises cheaper groceries even though they're going up. Cheaper gas and electricity--both are going up. But then he feeds into internet memes.

He promises action against or for the cause of the day and as time moves on, everybody forgets about it and nothing happens. He gives them a DEI meme that says their state in life is because of black people, women, or whoever. He blames immigration for everything and he takes superficial action to correct these meme problems and declares victory.

Even if the result of the action hurts his base, they ignore it because he plays into memes and they think later it'll really help them. His rhetoric plays into the belief that their life isn't what they want it to be. Because of the actions of some group he's successfully othered. He makes them happy and tells them they're getting a DOGE check or a huge refund or a tariff rebate check, but it never comes.

They get to daydream about what they do with the money. He gives them memes and nothing more. Those memes work to keep his base in line and obedient while he and his rich friends make policy decisions that are the things that actually keep his base down. When somebody tries to break away, the social cost is high. The memes make sure that anybody that actually wants the things he campaigned on are nothing but evil rhinos or whatever.

I don't know if I dropped bars, but I meant more than tax breaks for the rich. I mean, he is a developed system to keep his base obedient while his class extract more and more from them.

Anyway, it's just a thought. Y'all have a good day.
