The American public knows Donald Trump is lying about tariffs. And as MSNBCs Lawrence ODonnell explains, theyve figured it out without any help from the White House press corps who continue to accept his lies as answers. - Aired on 07/08/2025.

Its all a big stage show with actors playing their tsf assigned roles.
The audience is not fooled, though.

Thank god he said what I have been observing for a long time. While I was cooking and listening to his segment I said out loud, "Just watch 30 seconds of the film "Life With Father" and you will know about tariffs than the morons in the press corp.

(166,532 posts)6. O'Donnell: 'Stupidest' presidency has 'stupidest' White House press corps
trump has been lying about who pays his tariffs. Tariffs are pay by US consumers. Tariffs are NOT paid by foreign governments. Any tariff revenue cited by trump is from US consumers or companies and NOT from foreign nations.

MSNBC host Lawrence ODonnell called President Trumps second term the stupidest presidency in history and said it is being covered by the stupidest press corps.
Well, the possibility of a relentlessly stupid person becoming president of the United States has been underexplored by screenwriters, ODonnell said Tuesday on his nightly show The Last Word.
And then Donald Trump came along and went far beyond what Hollywood could ever imagine in the presidency, he added.
The veteran host compared the current White House to that of the Emmy-winning NBC show The West Wing and said, if I were writing the character of a stupid president in a script, I would simply have had the stupid president completely rely on a smart White House staff and a smart cabinet and just hide behind those people.
The president, in this fictional scenario, ODonnell continued, would absolutely never talk to the press because a stupid presidents stupidity would be immediately exposed by the White House press corps.
