Sky's Courtney Vandersloot tears right ACL, will miss rest of season after leaving loss to Fever early
The Sky quickly ruled her out for the rest of the game. Then on Sunday, the team confirmed that she tore her right ACL, which ended her season.
Courtney Vandersloot underwent an MRI yesterday that revealed a right torn anterior crucial ligament (ACL), an injury she sustained in the June 7th game against Indiana. Vandersloot will miss the remainder of the 2025 WNBA season and undergo surgery to repair the injury.
The injury put a major damper on what was supposed to be a marquee event for not just the hosting Sky, but the WNBA overall. Saturday was the first time the Sky were playing at the United Center, home of the Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks, and there was some speculation the rivalry game could break the WNBA attendance record.
