Postimages.org has changed. There is an alternative.

If you use postimages.org to post pics on DU, you'll find that after a certain number of views, postimages blocks any further people from viewing it.

This can be very frustrating to latecomers to your thread, which may have received a high number of view and recs. The latecomer wants to see what all the hubbub is about, but they cannot.

I don't use postimages.org anymore to post images on DU. I have found an alternative:

So far I have been able to upload pics for free and although some have received high recs/views, imgbb.com has not blocked additional views.

Only issue I've had is that I have to trim off excess parts of the link like so:

Other than that it's been a good alternative.

5. You want BBCode full linked

Then delete all of the link through bracketed letters img, as well as the end of link from bracketed letters /img to end.

A bit clunky, I know.

6. When I deleted the bracketed parts you see now

Then previewed, the image disappeared and only the link remained. That's why I left it in.

7. Don't delete the part between [img] and [/img]

Delete everything else including the first url (https://etc)
