if I go outside it is in the morning,,,,

not only is it hot but the air quality is terrible and I have emphysema,,,,

I 'freeze' all Summer because I am always in air conditioning,,,, crazy

but folks do go out,,,, they work, they shop, they visit,,,,

9. Yesterday at this time 14:40MST...

…or 21:40Z, it was 44C…a toasty 111F at the tiny little airport in Chandler, AZ

How do I know? I was out flying in it.

I got blisters on my fingers checking the engine oil…with a glove on. Even burned my butt cheeks climbing in the airplane. I was literally soaked in sweat when I landed.

It’s even hotter today…which is why those same cheeks are cooling on the couch today!

But there’s no climate change!

14. The airplane doesn't care...

…once it’s in the air. Takeoff roll is longer & climb out slower. I stayed between 1000 and 3000 ft AGL. The practice area was busy but not many doing pattern work. So I wasn’t the only one out there.

We just hydrate and enjoy the time in the air. I’m doing it again Saturday when forecast temps drop to 110 but humidity is rising.

These airplanes are NOT air conditioned. Just a little 6-ish X 6-ish inch “window” next to the left seat.

Any and every day, a bad day flying is better than a good day doing anything else!

That's a temp where you need to stay inside for safety's sake.

Boulder is 96 F right now. I refuse to cook and heat up the house, so it's pizza and watermelon tonight.
