Related: About this forumThis is why I don't bet on NFL football games.
At halftime, I would have put big money on KC...home field and a 21-3 lead in the 1st half. I would have lost on a sure thing again,,,

Because all of the smart money was betting on Cincinnati to win at KC.

(29,492 posts)I still thought they had a chance when KC failed to score before the half. Cincinnati did a good job on defense in the second half to give Cincinnati a chance.

(30,074 posts)That win has to give them confidence, regardless of what the sports media is telling us. When it got down 21-3, I was thinking the game was over. Cincinnati proved up to the challenge.

(2,839 posts)If your home team is weak, just skip the betting but keep cheering. It is ok to make small bets for a win even when losing is certain if it is the home team.

(10,713 posts)After four games, with the Orioles up 3-1, a coworker wanted to bet that the Pirates would win. I tried to talk her out of it, but reluctantly took the bet.
I should have talked ME out of it.
