Should the Browns select two-way player Travis Hunter with the second pick ...

it will only prolong their dismal efforts on and off the field.

Nearly every "mock draft" has the Browns selecting Hunter.

Prediction: Hunter will not be happy playing a single position (either CB or WR), will wear-down quickly in the NFL playing the dual role and/or will suffer a significant injury that nearly ends his career.

Do not waste the #2 pick on Hunter. Browns need another impact player on defense that will complement Garrett.

When you reach for a QB you screw over your franchise...Akili Smith, Tebow, Steelers Kenny Pickett. The jets pick a few years ago.

More than 60 percent of first round QB end up being scrubs or total busts. Don't reach for a QB.

The recipe to win is simple... especially if you want to beat the the great QB in the playoffs and Superbowl....a dominating defensive line that can get to the QB with only 4 lineman rushing.

Best examples...
Both Giants Superbowl wins over the Patriots. Those 4 studs disrupted Brady et al. The helmet catch never happens without all that pressure on TB 12.

The Rams won against the Bengals. Aaron Donald won that game. Period. If he doesn't disrupt that final pass, Jamarr burned Patrick Peterson by ten yards but Joe Burrow couldn't get the ball off. Donald erased FB getting burned.

Tom Brady last super bowl win. The Tampa defensive line rushed, hit, sacked, or forced a scramble on over two third of Mahomes drop backs. The only way to beat Mahomes is to have Joe Burrow or a defensive line that smacks him in the face every play.

Eagles Superbowl run. Forget the tush push, that defensive line won the Superbowl. They made Mahomes rush throws because of the fear of getting sacked.

Great defensive lines cover up bad defensive backs -- never the other way around because the rules favor WR.

He would be at a bigger risk for injury as in the NFL they use CBs for run defense more often than in college and in the NFL RBs are bigger and faster. He is probably the best WR in the draft though. Any player in the draft could have an injury though.

I wouldn't underestimate his ability to play both. He probably has the best endurance & stamina of any player in the draft. Jaguars games should be more interesting to watch.

No way he can survive in the NFL that way.

I see him as a shiny toy for a playoff-calibre team. That isn't the Browns. They need work horses.

10. ESPN's summary:

Graham is an outstanding run defender who led Michigan's defensive linemen with 45 tackles in 2024. He stacks blockers, locates the ball and disengages in time to make plays. He slips blocks and gets into gaps. Graham is stout for his size, fights to hold his ground when getting double-teamed and doesn't split the blockers. He shoots his hands, drives blockers back and gets off blocks late. He wins with power rushing off the edge. He's effective picking defenders and looping around running line stunts. Graham reads the quarterback well and gets his hands up in passing lanes. -- Steve Muench
