What is happening with the Tigers?

As a longtime Cubs fan, I understand the agony of falling apart in the last few weeks (or the first few weeks!). But I'm still keeping hope alive for a Cubs/Tigers World Series.

And many Tigers fans are blaming the front office for not making better acquisitions by the trade deadline. Their "big move" was trading for pitcher Charlie Morton, who has looked solid at times since coming to Detroit, but he is old.

The other big acquisition at the trade deadline was pitcher Chris Paddack, who also has not worked out.

A few bad games and the chemistry just disappears. Players swing at bad pitches, make mental errors, lose the mojo.

They’ve now lost something like 11 of their last 12 games.

This year’s August and September results balancing out the incredible run they had in the last two months last year?

I hold no animosity toward the Guardians at all. In fact, if the Tigers don't make it, I hope the Guardians do. After 2016, I was hoping they would win the World Series.

My mother and I used to visit cities where the Cubs were playing and in 2015, we went to Cleveland and the workers at Progressive Field were the nicest, friendliest people. Even though we were dressed in Cubs gear from head to toe, they smiled at us and said "Welcome to Cleveland!" That made a huge impression on me.

P.S. I also liked the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Even my mother, who hated rock and roll, liked it.
