Further evidence of just how special Shohei Ohtani is...

Sarah Langs
@SlangsOnSports

Shohei Ohtani reached 250+ homers and 150+ stolen bases in 944 career games, the fewest of any player in MLB history.

He surpassed Alex Rodriguez (977games).

And Ohtani has only actually batted in 928 of his games because of his early career non-hitting when pitching!

Not Staub, just not enough repetitions against MLB hitters. It's been a long time!

There's a reasonable chance we will see him on the mound again tonight.

Give the fans what they want.

has been decimated by injuries. They're converting Ben Casparius into a starter out of necessity. Bringing back Emmett Sheehan tomorrow post-T.J. surgery. We'll see how he holds up.

His wicked eephus pitch would befuddle the Padres hitters while the Dodgers offense chalk up the numbers.
