the night engulfs the all surrounded in dull darkness
moments need be measured before everything is lost
time is shared between grounded souls in a starkness
those pained or those pleasured and roughly glossed
when water sleeps in silence the tide washing ashore
rising upon the coarse beach mixed up in the debris
soft hints of impending violence no mercy to implore
forced again into the breach the dishonorable decree
battles of screams and cries collapses to one whimper
as friend and foe indistinguishable litter a killing field
high above where heaven lies god pules and simpers
blood thirst now unquenchable by the touch of steel
as water wakes in dark dawn on a canvas completely
once more lines are drawn and evil comes discretely
