Please Note - Senator Sanders is currently an Independent

'That’s how you win': Bernie Sanders scolds Kamala Harris after NYC upset
https://www.rawstory.com/bernie-sanders-2672436341/

Sanders championed Mamdani’s campaign and argued that, were Harris to have run a similar campaign, she wouldn’t have lost.

“To run a brilliant campaign, you have to run a grassroots campaign, so instead of taking money from billionaires and putting stupid ads on television, which the people increasingly do not pay attention to, you mobilize thousands and thousands of people around the progressive agenda that speaks to the needs of working-class people and you go out and you knock on doors,” Sanders said.

“And if somebody like a Kamala Harris had not listened to her consultants and done that, she would be president of the United States today.”

I seriously need him to SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!! He doesn't realize that every time he opens his mouth he is ALIENATING the Base of the Party.

Kamala Harris received 1,748,140 Votes in NYC in 2024.

There is ZERO reason to bring Kamala Harris up. To compare her to someone who had 1/100th of the challenges that she had is evil and against the Democratic Party Base - Black Women.

Sanders to me? He represents the 'White Male American 'Aristocracy'. He's had every door opened to him based on Gender and Race.

The GAME has ALWAYS been rigged in HIS FAVOR in Vermont. A black woman in Vermont on welfare would NEVER have won office.

Dear Independent Senator Sanders: We won't forget. Also - you are like 80 years old right? I hear talk about all of the 80 somethings being forced out of office. If it can be said about Pelosi - it can be said about you. Turn about is fair play. Now please, go verbally punch Trump and take VP Harris' name OUT'CHA mouth. Your words will echo and bounce around the Aunties (including myself) for DECADES.

Signed -
Democratic Committee Member and Elected Official in Hunterdon County NJ where that fucking message of Mamdani's will NEVER WIN amongst white racists!

PS - The enemy will use your words against us in 2026. This isn't the bell weather you think it is.

PSS - Sanders is an INDEPENDENT SENATOR IN VERMONT. NOT A DEMOCRATIC PARTY MEMBER. He's not supporting DEMOCRATS.

Right here is why Sanders lost in the 2016 and 2020 primaries. He could take this opportunity to do some self reflection but he won't. His entire political career has been characterized by blaming others for not achieving his goals.

I agree with much of what Sanders says in his speeches. However, I've never voted for him because he's never been able to achieve the goals. It's because he blames others and doesn't work as part of a team, which is essential for getting things through Congress.

He's right that the Democratic Party needs to heed these recent elections and make substantive changes in our approach. He's right that we need to give people something to hope for, aspire to, a reason to vote for Democrats other than "look at Trump he's gross and crazy."

He may be right that the Harris campaign made mistakes BUT blaming Kamala Harris publicly is not helpful. She worked her ass off to turn around a bad situation that she was handed, through no fault of her own.

Sanders comes across as petulant and whiny. We need new leaders, strong leaders, inspiring leaders.

He's like Corny (Cornel West). Their schtick doesn't speak to me on any level.

The Harris and Crockett language does.

I feel like he's having discussions about John Hughes films being the truest reflection of the 1980's but not acknowledging the impact of School Daze, Boyz in the Hood, and Lean on Me.

That's some bullshit right there. At least he left Adrienne Adams and Jessica Ramos alone. That's a start at least.

Maybe he's just smart enough to know they can influence Mamdani's campaign? Ah but there it is -

They will use Adrienne Adams but when push comes to shove - they will shove her down.

With what I see amongst the 'leaders dear leaders' in waiting?

They aren't giving Black women a reason to vote in 2026. I'm watching the 92% on Threads and in some additional private spaces - and the reality is . . .

and his rhetoric still sounds exactly like it has for the last 50 years. And he's always been critical of other candidates who don't do things exactly his way; he was a shit to Hillary, too. It's especially unfair of him to bust on Kamala, who did what she could with the short time she had, and she did it brilliantly. Not to mention that a campaign to be mayor can't easily be compared to be a campaign to be president. You can do a lot of door-knocking and other direct outreach when you only have a city to campaign in, not a whole country. As an old person myself, I hate to say it, but in a lot of ways Bernie is as much of a fossil as the Democrats he criticizes.

This is your boy:
https://www.thepinknews.com/2025/05/22/bernie-sanders-podcast-identity-politics/
The veteran Vermont senator accused the “liberal elite” in America of using the inclusion of marginalised communities, such as Black or LGBTQ+ people, as a way to make issues seem difficult to understand.

“We get to this thing called ‘identity politics’, you’re Black, you’re tremendous, you’re wonderful. You’re gay, you’re the greatest thing on Earth, rather than say: what do you stand for?” the former Democrat, who now sits as an independent, said.

Never - and if you want us to vote for your Bros - here's an idea:

Your an anti-oligarch and that's your mantra and that makes you TREMENDOUS and WONDERFUL. But really - what's in it for me?

No seriously. All he's got is Prison Reform. What the FUCK does that have to do with my life? I don't have any family members that have been in prison - and it's VERY tiresome.

It's right up there with Trump saying "the blacks will like me because of my mug shot".

The white majority won't allow it to be resolved.

And I don't ever recall him saying anything about it. The Congress Woman I interned and then worked for in the 1990's - SHE was the leader on it.

Her district included a large number of Black Americans . . . the little tiny woman from Kentucky who moved to Western NY?

She got us. She lived among us. She KNEW us.

Also I remember CLEARLY what the Bernie Bros did in the AfAm Group in the 2016 and 2020 Election. Clear as day. I was a group host then, and I'm one now. I can't be fooled.

Sorry to be ageist. I'm on Medicare now so I include myself in the group of people who need to let the young people rise. We need to let more than just white people rise. We need to go back to fundamentals. That's why Trump won. He promised people lower prices, American jobs, and law and order. We can wring our hands and complain that Trump manufactured non-existent issues to run on, but that ignores the millions of people who really, truly want lower prices, American jobs, and law and order.

Actually had the cop in charge after I called them tell me that the first moron was armed and that if I confronted him, he could stand his ground. On my property. The second one who followed my on my property to let me how gay he thinks I am while keeping his right hand on the bulge in his pocket. After I pointed out the three cameras on him and telling him three times he was on private property and to get the fuck out, he left. My mother and my sister, who's also my lawyer were witnesses.

The greenway that goes past the back of our property and across the creek is being finished (after the city came on our property and cut down a tree thinking the city owned it. It took the cops to stop it. They had missed the city's property line by about 50 yards.

I've never lived anywhere that is so keen on taking down trees.

The Independent Senator from Vermont popped off at the mouth.

The Base of the party is sick of it. Karine Jean Pierre is the tip of the iceberg.

Hey - if Black.women are a problem for the Democratic Party - just say it out loud. What's the problem?

This regime will fall, it won't be a political fall, then let's see where the chips fall.

They've already lost Black Americans on the 2nd Amendment. Our gun ownership shot up beginning in 2020 - and those are only the registered ones.

From 2022 - and these aren't Sanders Vermont Hunters.
https://www.thecut.com/2022/02/rise-of-black-female-gun-owners.html

While they are talking about rising tides and income inequality - we are spending disposable income on guns and ammo. Even my sister is on the bandwagon now. She bought two last November. .
