Memphis resident Jaquize Henderson had a warrant out for his arrest. US Marshals rocked up to arrest him. During the arrest, a dog belonging to Hendersons girlfriend, Emma Hollingsworth, got excited and acted as dogs do. Emma described the event:
My dog came out running. Hes like Whats going on? And so the US Marshal kicked him very hard. For no reason.
Lest the reader think the Marshal was at risk of losing life or limb, let the record reflect that the dog was a miniature schnauzer puppy. Emma described him as an ankle biter. She also pointed out that the Marshal was wearing heavy footwear. In explaining why she had posted a video of the vent, Emma said:
"The point was just to like get it out there, to see what's going on actually with the task force and the US Marshals. See what they're actually doing and what's going on. Like, how they treat animals in a sense, like a little dog, a little ankle-biter. He had big old boots on. What was he going to do? Like, literally nothing. There was no point in that."
In addition, this wasnt a defensive kick. The video shows the Marshal putting effort into his punt. So much so that the dog was lifted off all fours and was hoisted several feet.
