looks like wild globe mallow, a dwarf kind not to be confused with the larger pink variety also known as wild hollyhock. The bottom looks like something from, maybe-? the buttercup family but some SW variety. They both grow in my region.

What does it smell like?
I know the bottom one, but the name's not popping into my head.
My wife would know, but she's at work.
