Elderberry Experiment: In the beginning...

My new plants are starting to flower:

5-Yorks, 5-Novas and 2-Samdals








The plan is to harvest enough berries to do a few test runs of Elderberry wine.

ginger ale and fizzy water. Great morning pick me up! We use dried elderberries to make an elixir with honey

...plus I bought a "basic" wine making kit and some dried Elderberries to build an understanding of the wine making process before I "risk" my anticipated precious crop.

She makes the best jelly from them. Friends are always asking for more.
