What's for Dinner, Fri., July 3, 2026

Cold mushroom soup. I made this a day or two ago and the flavors have blended so well that this will be a keeper in my recipe files. The recipe came from Nagi at RecipeTin.

I used marcarpone instead of creme fraiche.

An ear of corn on which I will use olive oil butter and chopped cilantro.

And that's it!

Except for kombucha, which is mango, and a chocolate chip mochi for dessert.

It has been devastatingly hot here (100 right now) and I'm so glad I prepared all this a few days in advance to save me cooking time or having to get take out.

seasoned with molasses, soy sauce, cayenne, garlic, onion, and liquid smoke. It turned out just right. I had some on a bun with a little sweet and sour sauce. There was enough broth left I put some beans in and they are cooking now. I'll save them for tomorrow. It's hot outside, and i think the crock pot warmed it up in here.

I have some cold corn from yesterday and I might have a piece.

Frozen blueberries and cool whip.

Dry rub ingredients Ingredients
1 tablespoon paprika
½ teaspoon ground ginger
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon ground cayenne pepper.

I made a double batch, one for now, one for next time.

I cut 2 slices of the watermelon into cubes, put them in the freezer for 90 minutes
