Sandwiches of the Seventies: Spam and Branston Pickle

1. Marshmallow Fluff, jalapenos, and Crisco on Wonder Bread

Now that's a sadwich.

Talk about Spam! Guy needs to edit much, much, MUCH more.

3. Spam is too thick

Slice it thinner and fry it in a cast iron skillet until crispy. Slap those slices between two slices of white bread - mustard on the bottom and Miracle Whip on top.

Serve with Fritos and sweet tea.

Sadly, I don’t eat this anymore.

Don’t know about the pickle.

4. Fried spam is the way to go

My favorite way is with cranberry sauce.

7. The only way Spam is edible is to fry it

Mustard, mayo and sliced pickle on sourdough bread.

6. If you watch a youtube video, you can speed up the video by changing play speed from 1 to .25 or 1.5 or more

Also the thinly sliced fried spam & Branston pickle sounds like some thing I would try.

I'd use the rest of the spam the next day for spam& kim chi fried rice.

I am a huge fan of long-form media, so it's not an attention issue on my part. Just waaaaay too much extraneous stuff going on. Poor editing.

10. Avocado and cream cheese sandwiches

with alfalfa sprouts, on whole wheat or multigrain bread, the denser the better: that was the thing to eat when I moved to California in the mid 70s.

I'll say I'll try anything once, and I've already tried Spam (twice, in fact), so I can pass on this one - especially for slices that thick. I'll take the Branston pickle, though.

11. I fancy an Olive and Cream Cheese Sandwich

Also peanut butter, mayonnaise and lettuce on bread. Potato chips are nice on a bologna sandwich.
