I loved all 6 seasons when it ran on PBS for 6 seasons, and then the first movie.
When the 2nd feature film comes out, I will be going with a friend in Period garb.

The nature of a 2 hour movie meant that all the storylines were a bit ... let's say shallow ... compared to the show where there was a lot more time for storytelling.
It was like everyone needed their screen time and there so many characters, so everything felt rushed and kinda unfulfilling.
But I'll still watch the next movie 
As an aside, I did love that Lady Edith finally got to show off what a hot number she really is ... they made her so damn frumpy in the series.
I watched it with him and made fun of it a lot, but I enjoyed it. We both loved the movie. He can’t wait for the next one. I know it’s probably going to be sad so am not looking forward to it (not giving away why cuz I don’t want to be a spoiler).
