Two injured after ‘elderly’ man drives through window of Norcross’ Department of Driver Services

Two customers were injured at Norcross’ Department of Driver Services Wednesday morning after a man drove through the window of the building.

Around 11 a.m., an “elderly Asian male” was pulling into a parking spot at the DDS, which is located off Beaver Ruin Road, when, instead of hitting the brake, he hit gas pedal, according to Norcross Police Department Sgt. Eric Butynski.

“Two people were hit and were transported to Gwinnett Medical Center-Lawrenceville with non-visible and non life-threatening injuries,” Butynski said.

2. I would like to make this clear. It isn't Florida..It is Georgia.(well, somewhat.. close to Florida)

Took some time to find out where this story originated. (I was not familiar with Norcross Ga.)

I found out...about 10 -15 miles northeast of Atlanta.

Closer-in Atlanta suburb. And "Department of Driver Services" is what they call the DMV-equivalent in Georgia. I've been to this particular office. Glad I don't need to go anytime soon, since it is closed for repairs.

4. Ah, Beaver Ruin Road....

I knew it well.

My grandmother lived off it long long ago, when it was still a dirt road.

I understand her house is now a music store... or was years back.
Who knows what it is now.

That's when Norcross was a 'distance from Atlanta' and not a suburb! hahahah

Hard to imagine, as it's a major artery now. I can believe it though, as rapidly as Atlanta has grown and continues to do.
