KC's Dinnertime Blues + Shadow & KC star in The Case of Mommy's Missing Shoe

It all started at the cat food bowl. When KC was hungry and saw his nearly empty bowl.
v we see what he's been bitching about. By dinnertime KC is now famished. He wants his meal served, the bowl refilled before the last piece of dried cat food has dried up i.e. KC THE Cat expects the world to bend to his will. * Tonight he was teed off.

*As cats are wont to be.
His Shadow-friend overheard the one-sided complaint. She sneaked a look at the offending bowl and its meagre holdings and decided on the spot to lick up escapist cat chowl.
She lifted the not-too-heavy bag of Chicken Bacon Bits, aimed at the confused bowl (either fill me or don't but don't sic bad dude dad on me). Shadow is very good at her canine occupation. Never one to miss a snack-op she left nothing behind of spilled nuggets. Next logical step, check food storage bin. She refilled the bowl, spilling more bits and pieces.

Dropping even more meal, she snarfed it up alert and ready to lick up more Friskies pieces.

'Round about then call came over radio loud about a missing shoe. Instant alarm creates tremors in Shadow's svelte body her hackles hot, up and ready for anything. "Officer Doggo here dispatch. Already Ready On sitescene." Shadow swivels her head as if part owl freezes on object of suspicion — crouching, steps slowly toward said object (objet d'art? Nah.). Just a shoe.
While Detective Dog-on-the-Spot safely conducts slow and steady investigation shifts to shoe said's partner

KC gratefully/happily eats his overdue dinner.
Suddenly underfurcover cop Shadow turns right spies THE OTHER SHOE & SOLVES THE CASE OF THE MISSING SHOE!
MommyHappy And all others involved smile sweet sighs of relief, stretch yawn and go home. Except for Shadow who elects to guard zealously Mommy's pair of reunited shoes.
Paperwork awaits at office. But Dedicated Detective Doggo stays
at crime scene to be relieved first thing in the morning. Scene seems secure to her so she lays her head down and relaxes.
Sign on police office wall reads "Paperwork waits for no man. Dogs either". A huge poster "GYAPYPAGED" stares out at all who enter said (said who?) office.
Translation "getoffyourasspickuppencilandget'er done!"
Sign hard to decipher any longer having been more useful for target practice.
The End
Thank You for watching reading listening and most of all for supporting democraticunderground.
