(38,098 posts)TY Peggy for sharing these beauties with us.
I hope you and yours are staying safe out there. Were seeing some horrifying images from SoCal on the news here.

(154,856 posts)We are in a very safe environment here; the fires are far away, at least 20 miles to the north and north-east. Today the skies are clear.
The market just looked wonderful today, even more so than usual! I hardly knew where to shoot next.

(6,495 posts)I'm fascinated with the fractals of the Romanesco broccoli. The heads remind of M.C. Escher's art.

(154,856 posts)The Romanesco broccoli always draws my eye! It is fun to get a picture. And I hear you about M.C. Escher!

(3,961 posts)In 1950 I lived in Hermosa Beach (I was only 10 at the time) and have fond memories of that part of my home state. I can't bear to watch the TV coverage lately.....so tragic. Your beautiful photos help to soften the sadness!
CaliforniaPeggy
(154,856 posts)I am honored to be able to take some of your sadness away during these awful times.
The fifties were a while ago, but Hermosa Beach hasn't changed a lot in the intervening years; it's still a little happy beach town!

(126,225 posts)Then I come to this OP, where the sun is shining, the colours are dazzling, and there is so much life, and beauty, and my spirits lift.
Thank you for this gift of joy Ms. Peggy, for making a chilly, cloudy day bright.

(154,856 posts)I keep forgetting it's winter in most of the country . . . It's chilly here but with the sun out, we hardly notice!
I'm glad I can lift your spirits! It's the least I can do.

(21,412 posts)I will confess that that the flowers are usually my favorites, and this group is no exception, but all are nicely done!
CaliforniaPeggy
(154,856 posts)I will keep your love of the flowers in mind if I ever feel like taking fewer photos of them! There was a new vendor today and he had no problem with my photography.

I like those a lot, especially the psychedelic cauliflower.
