The blue background really brings out the red & green. Does the tree ever leaf out? I would like to see it then, too.

Is this the same exhibition as the junipers?

Yes, it's the same exhibit: The new Bonsai Garden at Longwood Gardens.

Thanks!

That tree is amazing - it looks like it's getting ready to walk right out of that container!

Whatever small benefit that you see in me sharing a liking for bonsai with you is all yours, if you want it.

That sentence is really awkward, but I am not quite halfway through my first cup of coffee, so I lack both the motivation and wherewithal to fix it.

I see what look like little lengths of pink string here and there; do those have something to do with shaping the tree?

You're seeing this year's new growth on the ends of the branches.

I swear that the tree looks like a naked human. That was my first thought and I cannot see the tree otherwise!
