Down by the river

The Susquehanna River south of Columbia, PA, early yesterday morning. Among the white flowers of the water lilies in the background are large white birds--dozens of great egrets driven north by recent storms. The wind turbines are the Turkey Hill wind farm, located atop a landfill.
