(70,430 posts)I'm sure there are plenty of kids whose parents cannot afford lessons, but you make music a possible dream come to life for these young musicians.
You are a really good person, Duno, and I'm sure floof would say a great pup father.

(9,362 posts)always helped keep me sane (most the time) and has been a major component of my life. I primarily play guitar and for over 20 years played out in two different bands as the lead singer. At 71 those days are over, along with lugging equipment at 2 in the morning, but I still get together with a few old band members every Wednesday night to play. Its like a poker night. No interest in playing out though we could if we wanted. Its just a chance for a few hours without stress each week.
I will say that old folks playing rock is not for the timid. LOL
Its great that you are teaching.

(6,085 posts)When Capricorn Records folded, Carousel Record stores got hold of their entire inventory and sold them as 'cutouts' for $1 each.
I got everything they had of MTB, Allman Brothers, Elvin Bishop, and any others I didn't already own. Many of them were only played once and put into anti-static sleeves after I recorded them onto tape. I still have them.
