"Bass Strings" by Country Joe and the Fish live. (original band)

When I was a teen I was their biggest fan. From "Sweet Lorraine" to "Fixin' To Die Rag" and "Janis", I knew every note and every word. I even obsessed over his tribute to Woody Guthrie album. That's where I first heard of Arlo's dad and I fell in love.

Bass Stings was particularly seductive to me because it was written about getting tripping on acid. Indeed, there were times I thought I would "never come down".

I'm surprised the sound quality is so good here, if not the videography
