Pee Wee King wrote/co-wrote and recorded some big hits in the late 1940's and early 1950's, such as "Tennessee Waltz", "Bonaparte's Retreat", "Slow Poke", "You Belong to Me", and "Bimbo". In the mid-'50's, he released some rock and roll/rockabilly singles. The vocal on this record is Walter Hayes. Several versions of "Blue Suede Shows" were released in 1956, and this version was one that did not chart nationally. The song did chart at #2 for Carl Perkins (it's writer) in March 1956 (#10 UK, #1 Country, #2 R&B), #20 on the Hot 100 for Elvis Presley in April 1956 (#9 UK) and #63 for Boyd Bennett and His Rockets on the Hot 100 in April 1956. Other charting versions: #38 on the Hot 100 for Johnny Rivers in March 1973 and #13 in the UK for Elvis Presley in September 2007.

Did not chart, but released as a single in 1956.

Written by Carl Perkins.

B-side is "Tennessee Dancin' Doll".
