If you have bird baths please on occasions add ice cubes. They will melt immediately but will cool the water (Original Post) question everything Sunday OP

If you do have a bird bath or water feeders you have to keep them consistently filled or the birds won't be able to depend on them.

In my experience water feeders are great for smaller birds, my bird bath is mostly used by my pigeons for bathing. During the summers the water feeders runs out to quickly so I supplement that with a plastic tray (like under potted plants) that I keep filled with water.
