Sometimes it's about the friends you make...

Occasionally, something will pop up on social media that appears new but then I'll go looking for it on YouTube to find it in a format that more DUers will be able to see and I'll discover that it's several years old.

This is such an instance, but worth sharing for those who missed it. A Russian Yakutian dog (similar to a large husky) wandered off and made friends with some bears. This drone footage shows how they got along. Pretty cool.

She (the domesticated dog) was only gone for a few days but when she did get back home she slept for several days catching up on her beauty sleep.

Her human family believes she was invited to go for a hunt by the coyotes.

and I wish that dog could recount it to all its canine buddies. Maybe, if they were around her soon enough afterward, they might have been able to smell the coyotes on her.

I believe dogs have some ability to communicate, of course. But I wish they could tell stories the same way we can in elaborate detail.

Animals are more intelligent than what most people give them credit for.

It would be spectacular if we knew about any story telling adventures from their perspective for sure.

Our last cat had peculiar way of telling me she was ready for dinner. She literally would sit with her back to me and wait until I got up. She would lead me to the kitchen for the wet food dinner and of course the dreaded medications before the actual dinner.

It was the same thing every day with her doing this. To me it was like a person tapping their foot and looking at their watch and waiting. Too funny.
