The AMC+ "Ad-Free" service is a lie. Here's what happened when I contacted them yesterday.

I was watching "Goodfellas" on AMC+. I paid for the "AD-FREE" service on Prime Video.

RIGHT AFTER the scene where Ray Liotta picks up Lorraine Bracco for a date, and her mother says "I hear you're half Jewish" and he replies "Only the good half," AMC+ interrupted the movie for an extended AMC+ promo clip.

Called Amazon. "We know you're paying us but we have zero control over the content. 100% comes to us from AMC+.

Emailed AMC+. They said "Sometimes we put AMC+ promos at the beginning of the programming." I said "You didn't do that. You interrupted a movie about 40 minutes in with a promo AD on a channel where I am paying for an AD FREE EXPERIENCE."

They apologized and sent me the link on Amazon which I could use to cancel. I had that link ready, and didn't need to have it provided. I canceled the service.

They are delivering video with minimal bandwidth.

I watched an episode of a show (one of the Walking Deads) on AMC, and then later on Netflix.

It was vastly clearer on Netflix.
