Middle East Ceasefire in Serious Doubt as Israel Assaults Lebanon and Iran Blocks Oil Tankers

Source: The Guardian

The fate of the two-week ceasefire in the Iran conflict looked uncertain on Wednesday as both sides gave divergent versions of what had been agreed, Israel intensified its bombing campaign in Lebanon and Iran halted the passage of oil tankers because of an alleged Israeli ceasefire breach.

Iran and Pakistan, which brokered the 11th-hour truce, both asserted that the ceasefire included Lebanon. Israel’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, disagreed and Israeli forces unleashed their heaviest attack of the war so far on more than 100 targets and killing at least 254 people. Donald Trump, after initially remaining silent, said Lebanon was “a separate skirmish” and not part of the deal.

Iran’s Fars news agency said oil tankers passing through the strait of Hormuz had been stopped as a result of Israel’s “ceasefire breach”. Iran was due to have reopened the strait during the two weeks of the ceasefire, and the oil price had dropped sharply below $100 a barrel in the hours after the truce was announced, prompting a global stock market surge.

The news did not bring any immediate relief for the hundreds of laden tankers trapped in the Gulf by the conflict, which were awaiting approval from insurers before beginning to move, and reported continued interference with their satellite navigation systems.

It makes me wonder whether Epstein gave him seriously compromising evidence against Trump.

Bibi obviously threatened trump with pushing it when he made all of those trips to the US prior to the war to get him on board with the killing. Israel exists only because of the US taxpayer. Under normal circumstances, the US could yank bibi's leash and bring him to heel. But tr4ump is too compromised and is being led around by his nose. Bibi's genocidal murder spree goes on unabated.

Easiest way to see who's wrong is looking at the actual agreement. Is there a signed document somewhere showing the requirements of the ceasefire?

9. Another Impeachment/25th-Amendment Suggestion

This past weekend, the deranged juvenile delinquent currently soiling the Oval Office, Capitol Hill, America’s Constitution and the country itself proved beyond any doubt that he could very soon escalate to NUCLEAR threats– if Iran continues to fight back against his unapproved personal war. Trump must GO. Before impeachment, though, it might be more effective for Democrats to (1) Ask VP Vance and Trump’s Cabinet members to sign a “Formal Intention of 25th-Amendment Removal,” (2) Launch that process if enough people comply, or (3) If too many decline, proceed to impeach-- in a single class action--   “Trump, Vance, and all Cabinet members who refuse to remove Trump despite his proven, overwhelming unfitness to remain in office. To remove those who refuse to do their Constitutionally mandated jobs.”   This would be (adapting Trump's favorite hyperbole)  a shot "unlike anything the world has ever seen” across this corrupt Administration’s bow.   It would, at the very least, strongly remind Capitol Hill that Justice is on the way. Regardless of how many patriotic Americans his criminal Administration jails or how many future elections they try to steal, Justice is coming. [Oh... and release the rest of the Epstein Files. We must all continue hammering on this in full bold text!]
